The Blackberry Pearl 8120 – Available in Pink

Still one of the most popular Blackberry devices on the market, due to its advanced features and compact size, the Blackberry Pearl 8120 is available in a range of colours including Pink. The Blackberry Pearl 8120 Pink mobile phone offers users a variety of features in a compact form.  This handy little smart-phone helps to keep users organized while providing a variety of multimedia options as well.

Users of the Blackberry 8120 will be happy to know that the phone features built-in Wi-Fi in the form of 802.11b/g.  This enables the user to browse the internet and send emails from a device that has access to a compatible hotspot but does not have a good signal on the phone.

Many Blackberry smart-phones do not offer integrated cameras but the Pearl 8120 has the added bonus of providing users with a camera.  This camera also has a 5x digital zoom and flash to improve picture quality.  It is also capable of capturing video with its built in camera helping to add to the device’s fun.

We first came across Crackberry through another mobile blog.

Visiting the Crackberry site will give you the latest news, reviews and even rumoured devices of the Blackberry mobile phone. One of the most recent Crackberry exclusives was the BlackBerry Storm, RIM’s first touchscreen device; with Crackberry being the first to give you pictures and a hands-on review of the product.

This is an excellent site for everything to do with the BlackBerry mobile phone and is an essential bookmark for anyone who owns or is thinking of purchasing a BlackBerry device.

Vodafone confirm that they will carry the BlackBerry Storm

Looks like Vodafone will be the first mobile network to bring the new RIM device, the Blackberry Storm to the UK and to mark the occasion, Vodafone are giving you the chance of winning one. Simply register your details on the Vodafone website and you will receive up to date information about the Blackberry Storm, and you’ll be automatically entered into the Blackberry Storm giveaway; the closing date is the 25th of October, is this a clue to a possible release date?

The Blackberry Storm is RIM’s fist touch screen device and boasts an array of features that you would expect from a Blackberry phone. The Storm is quad-band, so will work worldwide, has a 3.3 inch TFT display and runs the Blackberry operating system.

Other features include 3G, HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity, 1GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expanding memory, a 3.5mm headphone socket and built-in GPS navigation. As if that wasn’t enough, the Blackberry Storm also sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, and a media player to listen and watch your audio and video files.

There is no solid release date as yet, but expect to see the Blackberry Storm at the end of October to early November.

BlackBerry Pearl 8220 – RIM’s first flip phone

Research In Motion (RIM) have announced their first flip phone, the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220. The Pearl Flip 8220 has most of the features you would expect from a Pearl device, but has two noticeable omissions; 3G and GPS are not supported which may put some people off.

This quad-band clamshell Smartphone does however have Wi-Fi connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera and all of the functionality that you would expect from a Blackberry device. Also included is the easy to use trackball system, SureType QWERTY keyboard and two displays; an internal 2 inch LCD display and a slightly smaller external LCD display.

The Pearl Flip also features a multimedia player to play audio and video files and now includes iTunes support. The device has a 3.5mm headphone socket so you can use a wide range of standard headphones to your preferences.

RIM says that the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 will be out in the next couple of months; there is no information on availability or pricing yet.

Blackberry Bold - Set for September Release in the UK

Research In Motion (RIM) are to release their new Blackberry Bold 9000 Smartphone next month in the UK. Vodafone and 3 have already announced they will be carrying the phone, which the first Blackberry device to be released on the 3 network.

The new elegant and sleek design is reminiscent of other Blackberry devices, and features a full QWERTY keyboard, Trackball navigation and widescreen display. The Blackberry Bold is a quad-band phone as you would expect from the markets leading business phone and features tri-band 3G HSDPA network and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Blackberry Bold comes with 1GB of internal storage as standard and has a microSD card slot for up to 8GB extra. Due to the upgraded processor (624 MHz compared to older models 312 MHz), the Bold is capable of running all of the applications and multimedia programs effortlessly.

Other features include Bluetooth and USB synchronisation, 2 megapixel camera, built in GPS and comprehensive multimedia player. The Blackberry Bold is due out in September and will be released on Vodafone first, followed by 3 soon after, prices and contracts are to be confirmed.
