LG PRADA II (LG KF900) gets its official announcement

Due to the success of the first LG PRADA phone, selling over a million units LG has released pictures and spec list of their new PRADA phone the LG KF900 (or PRADA II). Styled very much like the original PRADA phone, the LG KF900 also boasts a hidden weapon; a full slide out QWERTY keyboard.

The PRADA II has a 3 inch touchscreen display, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and a 5 megapixel camera. The phones camera is fitted with a Schneider-Kreuzach lens and has autofocus and a flash; a front mounted camera is also featured for video calls.

The LG PRADA II also has a media player, which supports various audio and video files and a built-in FM radio for listening to music on the go.

The LG KF900 is due for release before Christmas. There is no work on which of the mobile phone operators will carry the phone, but LG have stated that the sim-free version will cost a hefty £500.

LG KP500: The cheapest touchscreen phone?

LG has announced that their new KP500 mobile phone will be the cheapest touchscreen device on the market when it’s released. The LG KP500 is basically a cut down version of the LG KC910 and is aimed at the midrange phone markets.

The LG KP500 sorts a 3 inch touchscreen display and uses the latest version of LG’s flash-based user interface. Navigating through the phone can be done using your fingers or the included stylus, which is nicely tucked away in the device.

The KP500 is a quad band device, but because it is aimed at the midrange market there is no 3G support. Other features include a 3 megapixel camera, accelerometer for switching the screen from portrait to landscape, Bluetooth, FM radio and a microSD card slot for expanding the memory.

It may not be to everyone’s liking, but the LG KP500 will surely turn some heads when it is released. The KP500 is expected to be out at the end of October and there is still no work on price, but with LG stating that this will be the cheapest touchscreen device, only time will tell.

New LG Prada specs get leaked

The rumours surrounding LG’s new Prada II mobile phone exploded this week, as a leaked specification sheet ended up on the internet. The aptly named Prada II is said to have a 3 inch touchscreen display and a slide out full QWERTY keyboard amongst the specs.

The Prada II is also rumoured to be quad-band, have Wi-Fi and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity and a 5 megapixel camera. A second camera will be mounted on the front for video calls and TV-out connection will be included so you can look at your pictures and videos on the big screen.

The LG Prada II will also feature full HTML internet browsing, a built in FM-radio and a microSD card slot, which is capable of holding an 8GB card. There are no official pictures of the device yet, but if the previous Prada phone is anything to go by then it will look first-class.

The LG Prada II is expected to ship before Christmas this year, no word on price or networks yet.

LG join the 8 megapixel camera-phone race

LG have announced a successor to the hugely popular LG Viewty, an 8 megapixel powerhouse of a phone called the KC910. The KC910 is set to be released in October and boasts an array of high-tech features.

The LG KC910 is quad-band and features a 3 inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity with HSDPA support, GPS, Bluetooth and TV-out support, as well as the impressive 8 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens.

The camera can also record VGA and QVGA video and includes a xenon flash for dark situations. A microSD card slot is also included, which can support up to 8GB and the usual audio and video playback is also supported.

When the LG KC910 is released it will go head to head with the Sony Ericsson C905 and the Samsung Inno8, both of which have 8 megapixel cameras. The LG KC910 is expected to hit the UK in October; prices and contracts are to be confirmed.

LG KC550 – High quality pictures for less

LG are hailing their new KC550 phone as the cheapest 5 megapixel camera phone to hit the market. The KC550 is aimed at the mid-range market so there are a few features that have been omitted, such as 3G and Wi-Fi which are not featured.

However, you do get stylish looking slider phone reminiscent of the LG KG800 Chocolate, a large 2.4 inch widescreen display, a microSD card slot for up to 4GB of storage, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and of course, a 5 megapixel camera.

The KC550’s camera is certified by Schneider-Kreuznach and has an LED flash for low light situations and can capture video up to a resolution of 720×480 at 30 frames per second. The device also features an accelerometer so you can play motion- sensitive games, of which there are six to choose from. A multimedia player is also included, but you will have to use the LG headphones as there is no 3.5mm headphone socket.

The LG KC550 is available for free on contract or a very attractive £160 for the sim free version. The LG KC550 is ideal for anyone who wants high quality pictures without the need for all of the fancy extras (and of course the price) of high-end devices.

LG KS360 – Messaging on the move

LG have announced the UK launch of the KS360 is to be in August on the O2 and Orange networks. The LG KS360 will be available in three colours, titanium and light blue, white and soft pink and black and red.

The Ks360 is predominantly designed for a younger audience with its biggest selling point being ‘messaging on the move’. The KS360 has a sliding QWERTY keyboard and users can either send SMS, IM or emails together with the ability to access social networking websites.

The 2.4 inch QVGA screen is touch sensitive and can be used to dial numbers instead of using the keyboard. The KS360 also sports a 2 megapixel camera and plays audio and video files; a MicroSD card slot is also included which can take up to 4GB. Bluetooth and USB connections are also included. The device is just 16.8mm thick, so it will easily fit into a pocket or handbag.

The KS360 will be available in August on pay monthly contracts from O2 and Orange.
