HTC last week announced its new Touch Diamond phone, the Touch Diamond2. Both the screen and the camera have been upgraded in the Touch Diamond2; there is now a 3.2 inch touchscreen that takes up far more of the phone, and the camera has been upped to 5 megapixels.
The HTC Touch Diamond2 is still powered by the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, but takes full advantage of HTC’s TouchFLO 3D finger swipe UI for navigating through the device. Because the Touch Diamond2 has a bigger screen, the whole device is bigger than its predecessor, measuring 107.9 x 53.1 x 13.7mm and weighs around 7 grams heavier at 117.5 grams.
HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity is also featured, as well as Bluetooth and USB connections and there is now an integrated microSD card slot for expandable memory. Built in GPS and multimedia player are also incorporated and a choice of motion sensitive games are on the handset, with more accessible via downloads.
The HTC Touch Diamond2 is definitely a great successor to the original Touch Diamond, and is sure to be as popular. The Diamond2 is due to be released in major European and Asian markets in May; no word on price or network availability yet.

Bet its on the Orange network
