Mobile phones these days seem to be able to do more and more things however the down side to this is that batteries don’t last that long anymore before you have to charge them up. Google’s Larry Page has also said, “You should be grateful if your Android battery lasts a day.”
So what can you do to keep your battery going for a day without losing any of the features you bought the phone for?
1. Most people have their phones brightness level set to full so it literally glares you, how many people have been blinded by a middle of the night message or phone call because of your mobiles screen brightness? SO if you reduce your screens brightness slightly then you can save yourself some battery and save your eyes! Also install a brightness widget on your desktop, for easy access when you do need a visibility boost.
2. Many new Android mobiles have GPS however many of us hardly use it so there is little point keeping it on when we don’t need it like when your sat in the office or at home, you know where you are so switch it off to save yourself some battery life.
3. You can also switch of your WiFi when you don’t need it, when it’s on constantly but not being used it still uses up a good chunk of your battery, time of the day when you know you won’t use it for example whilst asleep or in a car or meeting, just keep it off. It may take a little longer at first to load but at least it won’t be sucking the life out of your phone all the time.
4. With many phones now integrated with social media apps you probably find your mobile goes off every couple of seconds with updates from Facebook or Twitter, but the question is do you really need these updates? Answer is no, not when it drains your battery constantly telling when something changes.
5. Finally just be prepared to charge, it’s always handy to have a few spare chargers kicking around as well as an in car charger and also USB chargers, for your office or even when you’re at friends houses so you can plug it in and give it a top up
