Motorola’s new A3100 touchscreen Smartphone

Motorola has started 2009 by announcing one of its most powerful mobile phones, the A3100 smartphone. Running the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the Motorola A3100 boasts quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connections, as well as a 2.8” touch panel display.

The Motorola A3100 also features Wi-Fi connectivity and built-in GPS with A-GPS. The touchscreen display can be used with either your fingers or the integrated stylus, and being Windows powered, combines email and internet browsing, as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint editors.

A 3.1 megapixel camera is mounted on the rear, with autofocus and video capabilities and a secondary videocall camera is mounted on the front. The Motorola A3100 has a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB and a built-in multimedia player is also included to watch and listen to files.

There is no word on price or availability yet, but Motorola have been quoted in saying that the A3100 will have a Q1 release date.
