Mozilla has announced that a new mobile Firefox internet browser will be available for Symbian powered mobile phones by early 2009. This news is set to please Firefox fans and is bound to be a very powerful alternative mobile web browser.
The new mobile browser will be available by April next year and is called Fennec (a small desert fox), and will be capable fast and secure internet browsing, full access to web pages including internet applications and a platform for innovation and third-party applications.
A limited version of the Fennec browser will be available in February and with the addition of full screen browsing, page tab management and intelligent address bar, it may just become as popular as the computer based Firefox internet browser.
There is already a huge range of Symbian powered mobile phones on the market from various manufacturers including Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung devices and numerous Smartphone’s.
