Nokia 6260 Slide

Nokia have unveiled their newest mid-range feature packed phone, the Nokia 6260 Slide. As the name suggests, the Nokia 6260 Slide is a slider phone that features a 2.4 inch display, with navigation and call buttons mounted on the front.

Other features include 3G and Wi-Fi connections, GPS navigation, a 5 megapixel camera with flash and a secondary VGA video call camera on the front. The Nokia 6260 Slide is powered by the Symbian S40 operating system, which makes it the most powerful S40 phone to date and the first to provide in-built GPS.

The Nokia 6260 Slide has 200MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot up to 8GB for storing pictures and movie files. The only down side is that the headphone socket is not 3.5mm, so you will have to use the supplied headphones, but all in all the 6260 Slide is an impressive phone.

The Nokia 6260 is expected to retail for around €299, which is significantly cheap than the Nokia N-Series phones with similar specs, and is bound to be very popular. The Nokia 6260 Slide will be available in black or beige and is due for release in Q1 2009.
