Nokia has announced its latest QWERTY slider phone the 6760 Slide. Based on the Nokia Surge, an AT&T exclusive in the US, the Nokia 6760 Slide is the worldwide edition and is virtually the same apart from an upgraded 3.2 megapixel camera.
The Nokia 6760 Slide is a quad band device with support for 3G and built in GPS with Nokia Maps. It has a 2.4 inch display and slide out QWERTY keyboard for texting, emails and instant messaging on the go.
A 3.2 megapixel camera is mounted on the rear, which also supports QVGA video recording and a built in microSD card slot is included for saving files. The device measures 97.5 x 57.9 x 15.5mm and weighs 123 grams.
Built-in features also include a range of social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and You Tube and the multimedia player can deal with a majority of different formats including MP3, WAV, AAC and MPEG4.
The Nokia 6760 Slide will be available in black, red and white and has standy-by time of up to 500 hours and talk time of up to 5 hours.
Due for release in Q3 2009, the Nokia 6760 Slide has an estimated retail price of €199 (around £170) before tax and subsidy.
