Nokia announces another music device – The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic

Nokia has announced a new device to join its XpressMusic range. The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic is a midrange, candy-bar styled handset featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and compatibility for N-Gage games.

The 5630 XpressMusic is powered by the Symbian S60 operating system and because of it XpressMusic name, includes dedicated music buttons on the side for playing and skipping tracks. The device also features Nokia’s ‘Say and Play’ feature, where users can say the name of the artist or track they want to be played next; it also includes a 3.5mm headphone socket.

The phones camera is a pretty standard 3.2 megapixels, which includes a dual flash and a VGA camera is also mounted in the front for video calls. Internal memory is 150MB and expandable memory is provided by a microSD card slot, capable of taking up to 16GB (a 4GB card will be included in the retail pack).

Nokia state that the 5630 XpressMusic will be available in Q2 of 2009 is three colours, red, blue and silver depending on the network chosen. No word on price yet, but expect it to be available from free on certain contracts.
