The Samsung F480 or the Tocco as it is also known has been touted as an alternative to the iPhone. The Samsung F480 is stunning to look at and has obviously taken inspiration from Apple’s iPhone. The F480 supports Mpeg4 playback along with H263 and H264 video formats and includes a video editing program, allowing the users video to be edited on the go. The phone also plays mp3’s, which is fast becoming a standard feature with new phones and the microSD card slot can support up to 8GB; plenty of space to put you’re music on.

Im thinking of getting the samsung tacco on contract but can’t seem to find a great deal except from T-Mobile. I really would prefere to stay with O2 but just can’t seem to find any good deals

Trust me folks i have this device right in front of me now and it sucks!
Ok it has a 5mp camera and looks ok but that’s about it.
Why people try to compare this to the iphone is beyond me! Iphone is far superior in all departments apart from the camera. Lets face it who even cares about having a high quality camera in a phone anyway do these people even bother to print off their swanky 5mp pics anyway? probably not! The iphone camera is more than adequate for capturing images and viewing them on the device or pc and wouldn’t even look that bad printed of at 6×4 on photo paper too.
Trust me don’t buy the 480 as you’ll end up regretting it! The touchscreen technology is really poor too and doesn’t respond well at all.

Hi,
Please remember when getting a phone it is all down to “personal preference” at the end of the day!
If you are getting a Contract phone also remember that if you are not happy with the phone you can return it after 14 days or swap it for a different phone!
So do not be put off by other peoples comments, for example I dont like the Nokia N95 or the iphone having had both but then I like the Nokia 8800.
Just think… It is you that is going to be using the phone not other people.
And to be honest, I think the Tocco is actually a very good phone! (my opinion)

DONT get the LG Viewty phone, i have this phone and it is the worst touch screen phone ever, it just freezes all the time and half the time i have to use the little sick pen that comes with the phone as when you touch the screen with your finger it wont work.
GO for the Tacco, i have just got the Tacco and so has my sister and my boyfriend, its so much better!!!!!!

Hi i got my tocco today, Very impressed so far it just looks so flashy and stylish. The one point i would mention is that fingerprints annoy me so i was wondering if anyone knew where i could buy a little organsier pen from and what there called. Links if possible.

and i love it. I’m on T-Mobile, have been for three years so i got it pretty cheap ! Infact really cheap. T-Mobile IS good it’s just they give you a price on how long you’ve been there. My dad’s been with them for nine years ! So he gets an brilliant price. The Samsung tocco is amazing love it ! I have always had a new phone but this stands out to me, never had anything like it. LOVE ITT.

this phone is frying my brain!!!! the touch screen has blackout moments like once the alarm goes off and i cant switch it off and the text function saves every word i put in during the T9 function so now ever time i type “at” i get “CV” or when i type “’s” i get 17 , its is so annoying since i am usually a fast texter.
The camera is ace though!!!
