Samsung i8910 Omnia HD

Last week, Samsung announced a new Omnia branded mobile phone the i8910 Omnia HD. You may be familiar with the original Samsung i900 Omnia device, which features a 3.2 inch touchscreen and 5 megapixel camera, but the i8910 Omnia HD is fully upgraded with a massive 3.7 inch OLED touchscreen and an 8 megapixel camera.

The i8910 Omnia HD also features quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA networks, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in GPS receiver and full multimedia player with a 3.5mm headphone socket.

Internal memory for the device is either 8GB or 16GB depending on the model, and a microSD card slot is also built-in to expand the memory by up to an additional 32GB. Powered by the Symbian S60 operating system and using Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, the Omnia HD easily navigates through all of its functions effortlessly.

The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is definitely a device to look at when it is released in Q2 of 2009; there is currently no price guide or network availability for the device, but more information will be posted when we find out.
