Samsung has unveiled its newest low cost phone the S3650 Corby, which will no doubt tempt a few people as it has a touchscreen. This inexpensive device has a pretty large 2.8 inch touchscreen, a 2 megapixel camera and microSD card slot as well as sporting an adapted version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
The Samsung S3650 Corby integrates with a wide range of social networking sites including Facebook and YouTube, but its lack of 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity means that uploading and downloading pictures and videos will be quite slow.
One plus point for the S3650 is that it comes with changeable back covers, two of which are included with the device so that the user can customise it to their taste. A multimedia player is also included as well as an FM radio with RDS.
The Samsung S3650 Corby looks like a decent low cost handset, but the lack of 3G and Wi-Fi may put off some people especially if they want to browse the internet or social networking sites. Samsung state that the S3650 will be released sometime this month; no prices have been confirmed yet but various reports suggest that it will retail for around £120 for the sim-free version.
