Unvieled at the same time as the S5230, the Samsung S5600 is another quad-band touchscreen device, which has 3G connectivity and HSDPA support and a 2.8 inch display. The S5600 also takes advantage of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and has a 3 megapixel camera.
The Samsung S5600 is slightly bigger than the S5230; measuring 102.8 x 54.8 x 12.9 mm, even though the screen is 2.8 inch instead of 3 inch on the S5230. Internal memory is 80MB for your phone contacts and applications and media files can be stored via the microSD card slot, which takes up to 16GB.
The 3 megapixel camera has an LED flash and features Geo-tagging and smile detection; it can also record videos up to 15 frames per second. The media player can play various music and video files and comes with an FM radio; GPS with A-GPS support is also included.
The Samsung S5600 will be available from May in the UK; the price and availability are to be confirmed, but expect it to be a similar price to the LG KP500 Cookie.
