Released in March, the Samsung Monte is one of many affordable touchscreen phones that are currently on the market. For an affordable touchscreen phone the Monte has high-end connectivity wrapped up in a nice modern package with 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS, as well as a good web browser. As with every new mobile phone that seems to come out now the Monte has social networking integration for those who need to be connected to Facebook, Myspace Bebo and Twitter.
The Samsung Monte has a 3 inch WQVGA TFT captive touchscreen with 240 x 400 pixels as well as a 3.2 mega pixel fixed focus camera, smile shot, QVGA video recording and video call camera. You don’t get flash with the camera however you do get face-detection, smile shot and panorama shot which makes for nice added extras. One thing that sets this phone apart from other affordable touchscreen phones is its 3G connectivity and GPS which could prove to be popular.
The Samsung Monte also comes in 3 different colours, black and orange, graphite and black and white and red, pricing for sim free starts at around £150 with many mobile phone deals offering free handsets on pay monthly contracts.
