Samsung S8000 Jet – super fast iPhone rival

The Samsung S8000 Jet is the newest Smartphone from Samsung and boasts a super fast 800MHz processor, which the company claim is the fastest touchscreen phone on the market.

Designed to primarily rival the iPhone 3GS and android devices such as the HTC Magic and Hero, the S8000 Jet has a large 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity and a 5 megapixel camera.

The quad-band S8000 Jet also features 2GB or 8GB internal memory and a microSD card slot for a further 16GB, built-in GPS and a secondary video call camera mounted on the front. The main 5 megapixel camera has an LED flash and face, smile and blink detection, as well as geo-tagging capabilities.

The device measures 108.8 x 53.5 x 11.9mm, which is comparable to its rivals and weights around 110 grams, with a battery life of up to 406 hours on standby and 5 hours of talk time.

The Samsung S8000 Jet is available now on various networks including Orange, Vodafone and 3. Prices vary from free to £195 depending on the contract.
