The Sony Ericsson G705 is a mid-range slider phone and is only the second Sony Ericsson phone to support both WLAN and GPS. The device features, quad-band GSM, HSPDA and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as dedicated music buttons and a comprehensive media player that not only makes it one of the top phones in its sector, but will also take on dedicated Smartphone’s.
The Sony Ericsson G705 also boasts a 2.4 inch TFT display with accelerometer for auto rotating, a 3.2 megapixel camera which can geotag photos using GPS coordinates, stereo Bluetooth and FM radio. The G705 is also small, measuring 95 x 47 x 14.3mm and weights just 98 grams.
It’s no slouch when it comes to memory either, with 120MB of internal memory and a Memory Stick Micro card slot, which supports up to 8GB (1GB included with the phone). The battery delivers up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours standby time, which is also quite impressive.
The Sony Ericsson G705 will be out in the coming weeks and is sure to be one of the most popular mid-range phones when released. No news on networks or price yet.
