The newest device in the Sony Ericsson range has a distinct look, primarily designed for the female market and adds yet another fashion phone into the mix. Called the Sony Ericsson Jalou (Bijou when released in France), this flip phone sports a facet cut jewel design and will be available in three colours. There will also be a special edition Dolce & Gabbana device with 24 carat gold plating.
The Sony Ericsson Jalou is quad-band and features a colour 2 inch internal display and a secondary external monochrome display showing the time, battery life and signal strength. The device also features 3G and Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD card slot and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
The Jalou is a compact device and measures just 73 x 45 x 18.2mm and weight 84 grams. This will be small enough to fit into any fashionable handbag or tiny pocket. Battery life is also pretty decent, with up to 350 hours on standby and 7 hours of talk time.
Sony Ericsson state that the Jalou will be released sometime in Q4 2009, just before Christmas and will be available in black, aqua blue and deep amethyst colours; there is no word on price yet.

These look really nice, a poor camera though
