Sony Ericsson has unveiled its newest clamshell device the T707. This fashionable device has a gloss finish and a number of programmable lighting effects and gesture controls. Sony Ericsson state that the lighting effects will change between day and night and users can program different lighting effects for individual callers.
The T707 itself is a pretty standard device featuring quad-band GSM and HSDPA connectivity, a 2.2 inch display, 3.1 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and Bluetooth and USB connections for transferring files. The device also features an external display on the front, giving the aforementioned lighting effects and other data like incoming calls and message alerts.
The device measures a compact 93 x 59 x 14.1mm and weighs 95 grams and the exterior also has a scratch-resistant surface. Other features include a multimedia player to play your video and music files and an FM radio.
The Sony Ericsson T707 will probably appeal more to females because of its design and the fact that it will be available in black, spring rose and lucid blue colours. The device is set to be launched in the UK sometime during Q2 of 2009; no information of pricing or availability yet.
