Sony Ericsson Vivaz

With the launch of this new phone, Sony Ericsson seem to have found some style now when designing mobile phones, they have got rid of their usual black slab design and have gone for a sleek curvy design that looks so much more modern and up to date.

Sony Ericsson have always been good at developing mobile phones with good built in camera’s with video function and the Vivaz is no exception with its 8.1 megapixel camera that has autofocus, geotagging and a photo light as well as offering 720p HD recording which is at least 1280 x 720 pixels at 25 frames per second. They have also made the multimedia very user friendly with the camera offering clear menus that have a multitude of options with a wide ranging control over the images, from setting varying types of auto-focus (infinite, macro and portrait focus modes are available, as well as general auto-focus) to overlaying effects like Sepia tone or Negative effect.

With the huge range of camera facilities and option of video recording in HD the Sony Ericsson Vivaz comes with an 8GB memory card so store all your pictures and video’s, it also has Bluetooth and there’s a 3.5mm audio socket.

The front of the phone is dominated by a 3.2″ 360 x 640 pixel touchscreen display which is one of the best resistive screens around, very smooth and reasonably responsive. It runs on the Symbian operating system and you do get web shortcuts to YouTube and iPlayer as well as the usual social networking bundles. The Vivaz also has WiFi and 3.5G HSPA high-speed data support with a processor at 720 MHz coupled with 75MB of available RAM.

Out now the Vivaz should be available in a range of colours “Moon Silver”, “Cosmic Black”, “Galaxy Blue” and “Venus Ruby”, there are a few good mobile phone deals for this phone on contract from free and sim free you will be looking to pay around £380-£400.
