Sony Ericsson W205 – cheapest walkman phone to hit the market

Sony Ericsson has added to its Walkman phone range by unveiling the W205. The Sony Ericsson W205 will be the cheapest in the range, retailing for around £50-60 sim free when it is released, which is quoted as Q2 of 2009.

Being a budget device, the W205 does not have 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity and only has dual-band GSM, but on the plus point the device has a 1.8 inch colour display, Memory Stick Micro card slot, a 1.3 megapixel camera and of course the Walkman media player.

Transferring music and videos to the device is easy with its Bluetooth and USB connections and a built-in FM radio is also included if you fancy a change of music. Measuring in at 92 x 47 x 16.4 mm and weighing 96 grams, the W205 is small and compact enough to be put into a pocket or handbag.

The Sony Ericsson W205 will be available throughout Europe in Q2 of 2009, with an American version (the W205a) available during Q3 2009.
