The T-Mobile Sidekick has been a popular range in the US for a number of years, but has had limited success in the UK. One of the reasons for this is that the Sidekick, even though it is fashionably styled with a spinning, flip-out screen and QWERTY keyboard had fairly low specifications compared to the rest of the market.
T-Mobile is hoping for a change and has released a brand new Sidekick called the LX 2009. The T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009 is similarly styled to its predecessors, with its swivel display and QWERTY keyboard, but now the screen is a pretty large 3.2 inches. The LX 2009 also features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a trackball for navigation, microSD card slot and 3G connectivity.
The Sidekick LX 2009 still lacks HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, but does support GPS with A-GPS support as well as geo-tagging of photographs and access to social networking sites.
It’s not the smallest or lightest device on the market, measuring 132 x 61 x 16.3mm and weighing in at 165 grams, but the inclusion of a bigger screen and useable keyboard are appreciated.
The T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009 is available in the US now; no European release date has been announced yet.

I had a Sidekick, it was ok but I soon got tired of it. I think there is a bigger market over in the states.
