The HTC Touch Pro2 is bigger and better than before!

Having announced their new Diamond Touch2 Smartphone last month, HTC has also announced an updated version of the Touch Pro Smartphone, the Touch Pro2. The new device is bigger than the original Touch Pro, which sort of goes against the norm as successor handsets generally get smaller, but the Touch Pro2 now boasts a 3.6 inch touchscreen as opposed to its predecessors 2.8 inch screen.

The slide out QWERTY keyboard is still there, and because the device is bigger, the keys are more evenly spaced making it easier to use. Another new feature to the Touch Pro2 is a speaker system called Straight Talk; this allows users to have conference-quality calls through the handset.

As you would expect from a HTC Smartphone, the Touch Pro2 features HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, has the TouchFlo 3D user interface and runs Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. One curious omission is that the phones camera has not been upgraded to 5 megapixels (like the Touch Diamond2), and only has the 3.1 megapixel camera from the original Touch Pro.

The HTC Touch Pro2 is a big phone, measuring 116 x 59.2 x 17.3 mm and weighs 175 grams, but does have all the features of a high-end Smartphone. HTC say the Touch Pro2 will be available in the summer, with price and availability to be confirmed.
