The Nokia X6 – a replacement for the 5800 XpressMusic?

Joining the aforementioned X3 mobile phone, Nokia also announced the X6, a powerful multimedia phone which is a step up from its popular 5800 XpressMusic. The Nokia X6 will be available in a standard version and ‘Comes with Music’ edition when it’s released and features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera and both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.

This quad-band device is slightly smaller than the 5800 XpressMusic, measuring 111 x 51 x 13.8mm and weighing 122 grams. Because the X6 is a multimedia phone, it also boasts a 3.5mm headphone socket, a powerful multimedia player capable of playing most standard formats and a huge 32GB of internal memory for storing your data and files.

The X6’s 5 megapixel camera has a Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus, dual LED flash and a constant light for when your videoing. A secondary camera is mounted on the front for video calls, and GPS navigation is also built-in with Ovi Map support.

There is no news on price or availability yet, but Nokia say it will be available in the next couple of months in either blue/white or red/black colour combinations.
