The new Samsung mobile the Galaxy S is a great milestone for both Samsung and Google, it’s one of the most powerful and feature-rich phone on the market at the moment even compared to the likes of HTC. It’s looking to compete with the Apple iPhone 4 so it needs to pack some punch to live up to that hype and it certainly looks like it could as it looks smart, sleek and tidy with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen although it does look like a twin to the iPhone. It also has a simple 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB slot on the top of the phone, and the power/lock button on the right hand side, keeping it fairly slick.
It runs on Android 2.1 backed by a powerful 1 GHz processor, which promises minimal lag when running applications, its screen is also very responsive and also has high definition playback. The Galaxy S also comes equipped with a 5.0-megapixel camera that also shoots HD video, as well as taking still shots in a range of different modes like panoramic, action, stop motion and smile-detection mode. You can also pump it out to your big screen TV using the micro USB slot and on top of that it can also play MP4/DivX/WMV/H.264/H.263 file types. Its music player is also top notch with a SRS virtual surround sound and also an ever popular cover flow navigation.
